Team Building

The recent workshop for FRISCO ISD art teachers aimed to foster collaboration across multiple grade levels, facilitating the development of vertical teams. By bringing together teachers who often haven't had the opportunity to work closely, the initiative was designed to engage students in meaningful projects that span from elementary through high school. This collaborative environment encouraged teachers to share their ideas and strategies, enhancing the learning experience and sustaining interest in arts education. The focus on building connections between different grade levels proved invaluable in promoting skill sharing and highlighting the upper-level programs to ensure student retention from K-12.

As the art teachers engaged in structured activities, they expressed a renewed enthusiasm for working towards common goals. Many of the participants noted the value of getting to know their colleagues better, which is essential for creating a supportive and coherent educational community. The workshop not only facilitated professional growth but also established a network of support among the educators, contributing to a positive and cohesive teaching environment. This interconnected approach not only inspires teachers but also significantly enriches the students' educational journey, laying a strong foundation for continuity in their artistic development throughout their school years.
