Cheney Hills Elementary 2024 - Guiding Stars: A Blueprint for Student Leadership
In an inspiring endeavor to promote leadership and teamwork, the faculty at Cheney Hills Elementary school embarked on a collaborative mural project centered around "The Leader in Me" book by Stephen and Sean Covey.

Each grade level team embraced one of Covey's 7 Habits, aiming to instill these values in their students by the year's end. Teachers from various backgrounds, including many who were new to the faculty, came together to visually interpret their chosen habit, each contributing to a larger, unified mural that symbolizes the collective ambition of the school.
Though each educator worked on an individual canvas, their efforts seamlessly blended into a single, cohesive masterpiece. This initiative not only served as a creative exploration of personal and communal leadership but also provided a valuable team-building experience, strengthening bonds between colleagues as they learned to coordinate and collaborate in new and impactful ways. Each mural is hung in the grade level pods and stands as a testament to the harmony and shared vision of our dedicated teaching community.
